I'm a mum of 1 in a small country town in Western Australia. I started scrapbooking after my son, Lachlan, was born in 2004. I love taking photos and showcasing them in my layouts. I guess you could say that my style is eclectic - I experiment with all different patterns, colour combinations and structures - but generally my work is clean and organised. I enjoy card making and other papercrafts as well. The time I spend in my craft room is relaxing, motivating and fun.

I have just started a free trial at Big Picture Classes.

The first class I have taken is called “Love Your Lettering” by Jasmine Jones from Studio Calico.

It is a bit rough and bumpy and there is too much white space, but I am pleased with it as a first attempt.

Jasmine used Adobe Illustrator to digitize her quote, whereas I have tried to use Adobe Photoshop Elements to recreate the same effects. It kind of works, but is not so easy as Illustrator.

I am looking forward to practicing the new techniques I have learnt. I just wish I had kept my copy of “The Lettering Book” that I used when I was a kid!
