I made this A4 layout for a friend in memory of her lovely cat. I’ve included a little envelope into which the family can place notes of their favourite memories of Garfield.

I used: Bazill card stock; Kaisercraft Sweet Pea papers and embellishments; Upsy Daisy Designs Sweet Slumber papers; Anna Griffin Lulu rubon alphas; Paper Fields envelope and ribbon from my stash.

Merry Christmas

For the Stuck?! Sketches January 1 Challenge.

For this Christmas layout I went with the traditional red and green and used some bits and pieces that have been in my stash for a long time!

Using: Bazill card stock; American Crafts Christmas papers; Francheville, Glam Creations and Portacraft embellishments; Fiskars punch; Stampin’ Up inks; Amy Tangerine stamp; Tattered Angels Silver Glimmer Mist; Kaisercraft and American Crafts rubons.

UPDATE: I was randomly chosen as a winner of a $30 Big Picture Classes voucher!

This is a birthday card for my bestie using some scraps of the papers I used for my latest layout.  I hope that the bright  colours give the card a happy feel.

Using: We R Memory Keepers White Out Collection papers; Bazill card stock; Cuttlebug embossing folders; Cricut Basic Shapes cartridge; Stampin’ Up ink pads.

This is a layout featuring a photo of Lachlan and two of his closest friends.  I tried to make the layout of the background rectangles reflect the peacock’s tail feathers and the hexagons reflect the paving stones.   I love the bright coordinating colours of this set of papers.

Using: We R Memory Keepers White Out Collection; Bazill card stock; Cuttlebug embossing folders and Stampin’ Up ink pads.

Decorated twig

I borrowed this idea from an item I saw in the window of a giftware store over Christmas. The twig was sourced during an evening walk, then I bound it in white yarn. The decorations were cut using the Cricut. The idea is to change the decorations depending on your mood or the occasion – it doesn’t have to be just for Christmas!

Using: Kaisercraft Turtle Dove papers; Bazill Bling card stock; Cricut Paper Lace cartridge.

For the Anna’s Craft Cupboard February 2014 Sketch Challenge.

In this project I had fun with my corner rounder on some paint sample chips to make petal shapes. Believe it or not, this set of papers was one of the first I ever bought! I got the paint sample chips a while ago without knowing what I was going to use them for. I love the sumptuous oranges and blues and they match these gorgeous Cherry Arte papers perfectly.

Using: Cherry Arte Morocco papers, rub-ons and chipboard; Bazill card stock and Taubmans paint sample chips – in Indian Spice, Orange Relish and Salem Blue!

Hopman Cup

Depicting our trip to the Hopman Cup tennis tournament in Perth in December 2013.
