For February 2015 Sketch Challenge.
I chose the football pics to go with the circles in the sketch and added other circle embellishments. (I think this is the first time I’ve added stitching to a layout too!)
Using: Kaisercraft card stock, stamps, clear dots and pearls; Stampin’ Up paper; Inque Boutique stamp; Stamp It embossing powder; Thickers alphas; Crate Paper stickers; Micador water soluble pencils; papers, ribbons and cotton from my stash.
I find sympathy cards difficult to create. I want them to look nice, but not too fiddly and “pretty” so that the card is more about the sentiment than the design.
My family recently lost a friend who has left behind a wife and three little kids. It has been devastating for the whole community. I just wanted to let the family know that I care, that I will cherish the memories of fun times spent together and that they can call on me for support.

For the Scrappit January 2015 Challenge, which needed to include the following:
A) Favourite thing: My son Lachie, my cat Daisy, coffee (the Kaisercraft Cafe Culture papers), chocolate (the Chocolate Chip ink)!
B) Favourite hobby: Scrapbooking
C) Favourite colour: Chocolate brown is one of my favourites
D) A cat: Daisy as a kitten!
Using: Kaisercraft Cafe Culture papers and stamp; Stampin’ Up ink and lace; Crate Paper Portrait Collection stickers; Hot Off The Press rubon alphas; punches.
For the 123 Challenge Blog January 2015 Challenge.
We love catching up with our friends in Albany during the holidays. The kids always have a great time together. This wall at the newly renovated cinemas made an irresistible background for a photo.
Using: Kaisercraft card stock, alphas and rubon; We R Memory Keepers White Out paper; The Crafters Workshop template; Micador water soluble pencils; Stampin’ Up blender pen; Artline fine liner
For the Stuck?! Sketches January 1 Challenge.
For this Christmas layout I went with the traditional red and green and used some bits and pieces that have been in my stash for a long time!
Using: Bazill card stock; American Crafts Christmas papers; Francheville, Glam Creations and Portacraft embellishments; Fiskars punch; Stampin’ Up inks; Amy Tangerine stamp; Tattered Angels Silver Glimmer Mist; Kaisercraft and American Crafts rubons.
UPDATE: I was randomly chosen as a winner of a $30 Big Picture Classes voucher!
I’ve had these papers for so long and I finally found the perfect use for them scrapping a photo of my son on riding his new bike on his 9th birthday. It’s a very simple layout as the look on his face says it all!
Cherry Arte Boy Story papers and rub-ons; Stampin’ Up card stock; Paper Fields twine.
A birthday card for a 9 year old boy. I was going for a mix of tough and fun. I love the diamond plate effect of the embossing on the mirror card and the crackle paint on the alphas. The lime in the background softens the design a little bit.
Using: Cherry Arte Boy Story and Tropics papers; Stampin’ Up card stock; mirror card from stash; Lil Davis Design alphas; Kaisercraft paints; Cuttlebug embossing folder
