I chose the football pics to go with the circles in the sketch and added other circle embellishments. (I think this is the first time I’ve added stitching to a layout too!)

Using: Kaisercraft card stock, stamps, clear dots and pearls; Stampin’ Up paper; Inque Boutique stamp; Stamp It embossing powder; Thickers alphas; Crate Paper stickers; Micador water soluble pencils; papers, ribbons and cotton from my stash. IMG_4320-0

Sunkissed

A glorious Australian summer day on our first visit to the beautiful Green’s Pool in Denmark, WA.

My son’s middle name is Sol, which means “sun” in Spanish, because he is the sunshine in my life 🙂 For this reason I have been wanting to do a sun-themed layout for ages, so I was really happy to be able to scrap this photo like this. The images and colour on the two paper sets go together perfectly and although the cutting and placement was a bit fiddly I like how the sun’s rays complements the photo.

Using: Fancy Pants Designs Wave Searcher papers, alphas and stickers; American Crafts Amy Tangerine Scatter Sunshine papers; scissors.

Shine

For the Sassy Scrappers January 2015 Moodboard Challenge.

My friend Vicki and I did the Color Run in Perth last year. It was wet and messy and we had an absolute ball! We’ve been friends since our kids were babies but this was the first time we have gone away together for the weekend! We had a fabulous time.

I’m happy with how this layout came together. The colours match the photos really well. I stepped out of my very planned style and just plonked embellishments around. As a result my 10 year old son reckoned this is one of the best pages I have done 😉

Using: American Crafts Amy Tangerine Sketchbook and Kaisercraft papers and card stock and co-ordinating stickers; Kaisercraft bling and Color Box inks.

I have been reading and drawing inspiration from the beautiful book Art of Layers by Ronda Palazzari. In this layout I have played around with a few of her ideas for crafting flowers. I have used book paper and sewing pattern paper as well as patterned paper to create a cute posy.

Believe it or not mum and I didn’t mean to wear the same colour shirt that day, but I’m glad we did because it made colour matching a breeze! The pic (taken by my granny) is slightly fuzzy, but still a good one of the four of us.

Using: Blue Cardigan Designs Anthologie papers; Kaisercraft Timeless papers and bling; American Crafts Shadow alphas and pearl brads; Stampin’ Up card stock and brads; Fiskars punch; Marvy Uchida punches; book paper; sewing pattern paper; fabric.
